SHOP POLICIES & WHAT IFs


Each pixei's jewel or crafted item is a unique piece, handmade/assembled by me from a 100% smoke-free, pet-free home. Due to limited supply of materials, most jewels/crafts are ONE-off creations (OOAK) or available in limited editions only. Item reserved are on a first-buyer basis, you may reserve upto 7 days to make payment. I seldom do remakes of my works, so there's only one or few people in the world who own it. If you're happy with my works, feedbacks and photos are very much appreciated!

Be sure that you are comfortable with pixei's shop policies before placing your order. Even though there are only a pair of hands creating all these works, I want to give you a quality piece. How do I place my order/s?

Well, if you have noticed these little shopping bags throughout pixei are buttons for purchase. To enhance your shopping experience, pixei uses PayPal shopping cart, which payment will be made on the secured PayPal page. The other buy buttons only appears if the item is currently up on my Etsy / Art Fire / DaWanda stores. To buy, you will need to register for a free member account first, then click the Buy button and follow the instructions thereafter. Payments are made though PayPal as well.

Is the store opened 24/7?

Yes, my online stores are opened 24/7, unless there is server maintenance work going on. As for me, I work at least 8 hours a day, Mon-Fri, so you could catch me then.

 



What if two customers bought the same item?

When an item is sold/reserved, I'll update the online store as quick as I can. If at any point of time an item ordered is unavailable or cross-purchased by different buyers, the first paying customer will win the purchase. I regret to inform that the other customer will either exchange for other items at the same price or receive a full refund of payment (only if payment has been made). All orders taken are on a first-buyer basis. Your order/s will be kept reserved for 7 business days until payment is made, or it will be released from reservation and be put back on display.

 



What payment methods do you accept?

For Singapore customers, ATM / Bank Transfer to DBS is preferred. Payment details will be emailed with your confirmation order/s.

International customers, I only accept Credit card payments via PayPal on PayPal's secure page. You do not need a PayPal account to pay, a valid Credit/Debit card is required. PayPal is secure and accepts payment by most major credit cards.

Also an Etsy / Art Fire / DaWanda seller? I'm open for trades too. Traded items have to be of the exact/same price, and items can only be traded when both parties are agreeable.

Mode of Currency

Prices are shown mainly in SGD (Singapore Dollars), USD, EUR and JPY. Do note that the currencies in USD / EUR / JPY only serves as an estimation and not necessary an accurate up-to-date calculation of current rates. Payments through PayPal in SGD are preferred. If you do wish to pay in USD, you may purchase the item off from my Etsy, Art Fire or DaWanda shelves.

 



Shipping Charges and Policies

Singapore Post is the local delivery service provider I trust. All orders are carefully packed and hand-delivered to the post office within 1-2 business days after payment is made. Please understand that there may be slight delays in mailing orders during holiday seasons or sales. All Overseas orders are airmailed to anywhere in the world, just as long as Paypal accepts your payment. Shipping charges on pixei's shopping cart shows international shipping by default. The amount for shipping already includes handling, packing, bubblewraps, envelope, postage stamps, etc. I do not over-charge on shipping, and the basic packaging is already free-of-charge.

For security reasons, all Overseas orders are sent by Registered Airmail, that comes with tracking and postal insurance of upto SGD$68.00 only. When the package has arrived at your country, it will be handled by your local post office. You may choose to be mailed by standard mail at your own risk. After payment, you will receive an email from me with a tracking number, which can be used to track your package. Please visit www.singpost.com.sg/ra or your local postal service website to track your package online. Registered Mail packages need to be signed for at the time of delivery. If no one is available to sign it, your postal service will leave a notification with further instructions for a pick-up or you can request for a re-delivery from them. It is the customer's responsibility to follow through in obtaining an undelivered package, but of course I will do what I can to help in any way.

 



Missing Packages or Damaged Item Policy

All items are kept and cared for until they leave my hands. I cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged packages during mail transit regardless of shipping by standard or registered mail. For Registered packages with tracking number, inform me of any problems to your package when you've received it, or email me immediately if you've not received your package after 3.5 weeks of waiting. I will try all ways i can understand to help resolve the situation with my local postal service.

Postal insurance for Registered Mail has up to a maximum amount of SGD$68.00 (subject to postal terms and conditions). For any case of lost/damaged registered mail claim is filled, it can take about 1 to 3 months for each case to be resolved. I'm unable to do refunds until the postal service has refunded me the insured amount claimed. A lost registered package must be gone missing for more than 18 business days from date of posting before a claim can be filled.

I cannot be held responsible for items broken by force, or worn out parts due to long-term wearing. Jewelry are such delicate things, they should be handled with love and care.

I cannot be held responsible for purchases lost during mail transit, or due to incorrect address. However, if the package is sent back to me, i will mail it out as soon as you've confirm with me your correct mailing address. Additional shipping fees will be charged to the customer.

 



Do you charge sales taxes?

No, I do not charge sales taxes at the moment.

 



Will I be charged for import taxes/duties/customs fees?

International customers may be charged for import taxes/duties/customs fees at the point of delivery. It is the responsibility of our customers to cover these fees. Taxes vary depending on the value of the goods. Check your local post office for more information. These taxes do not cover under the shipping fees I have placed.

 



How to redeem a discount or promotion coupon?

Coupons must be valid prior to usage. At the point of "Check out", look for a "Special instructions to seller" where you can leave a message. You must indicate the type of your coupon and include the given discount/promotion code (eg. Birthday discount - code no. xxxxxx), and proceed to make your payment. I will approve the validity of your coupon and refund your discounted amount within 24 hours.

 



Do you offer refund services?

Yes, I offer upto 5 days full refund under certain condition. If your purchase is not as described or doesn't look like what you saw from my photos, kindly inform me within 5 days when you received your purchase. I'm willing to refund 100% the amount, excluding shipping fees that you had paid and will be paying for when returning the item/s back to me.

Items must be returned in their original condition plus packaging and not worn/used before. I'm unable to do the refunds until the package has been returned to me.

 



What camera do you use to take your product photos?

The model is a Sony DSC-T5, 5.1-megapixel, 3x optical zoom, and was bought in 2005. Have seen few reviews about the make of this camera that scratches the user's hands, so far I dont have issues with it --yet. Its pretty good and handy because it's small and slim. I'm no expert in photography, and even failed in a traditional photography assignment in my school days, haha. So, basically I just lay objects on a plain paper or a cleaned table top, select the Macro mode, and shoot. Tada~ ^__^ Natural sunlight works wonders. Though the photos often turn out to be a little dim, I use Photoshop to enhance them.

 



What materials/supplies do you work with?

I craft mainly with beads, ranging from glass, pearls, shells, Swarovski crystals, acrylic or plastic beads, wooden beads, buttons and charms. Silver/Gold-plated over copper or brass components are used. Brooch pins may contain nickel. Supplies are sourced from around the world - Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, United States and Europe. With the help of internet shopping, I'm able to purchase my supplies internationally. I often shop my supplies at - Etsy, Firemountain Gems, Jewelry Supply... Any other materials or vintage pieces either came from my very own home, or purchased from local shops/bazaars.

 



Packaging Standards

I use recycled paper and card boards for wrapping and packaging. With that I could at least save some trees from being cut down. For pixei's collection theme gift boxes, art card stocks are purchased but they are also made from 100% recycled paper. Shown below are some samples of my handmade packaging.
