"Now when Dawn in robe of saffron was hastening from the streams of Okeanos, to bring light to mortals and immortals, Thetis reached the ships with the armor that the god had given her."

oddess of dawn, was amongst the second-generation of Titans. She was pictured on Attic vases as a supernaturally beautiful woman, crowned with a tiara or diadem and with the large feathered wings of a bird. At the start of each day, Eos rose up into the sky from Oceanus (the Ocean that surrounds the world). With rosy-fingers and golden arms, she opened the heaven gates to herald her brother Helios, the sun. And with her rays of light dispersed the mists of night.
